We have been tracking the attendance and absence of each year group very carefully since returning to school in September to see which year groups are still above and which are falling below our whole year attendance target of 96% - this is the equivalent of only being absent from school for
7 days in one academic year.
Anymore days absent than this, and your child has dropped below the attendance target.
Children are classed as 'persistently absent' once their attendance drops below 90% and this is the equivalent of being absent for 20 school days.
This absence may be the result of illness but this still means they are classed as persistently absent.
