Today was a very exciting day for Year 4 as it was our trip to Cadbury World! In the morning we had an educational talk and learnt all about how chocolate is made from the bean to the bar. We also investigated different ways that chocolate can be advertised on TV. After a sunny lunch time we headed into the main expedition. We investigated the history of chocolate from the Aztec jungles right through to modern times. The best part of this section was when we were watching a film and the benches we were sitting on started to shake! We then saw the packing plant where the chocolate is wrapped before taking a ride in a Cadabra car. We ended our day with an all important trip to the gift shop! The children displayed an excellent standard of behaviour (which was commented on by staff and other visitors to Cadbury World and really made Miss Avis and Elmhurst school proud! Well done Year 4!
