Year 6s Bake Sale for Florence Nightingale
We were so proud of our Year 6 girls Emily, Olivia and Emily-Drew! They raised £1165.
They ran a cake sale to raise money for Florence Nightingale Hospice. A cause close to many peoples' hearts. They even got the Mayor of Aylesbury and Rob Butler MP to buy some delicious cakes. Here's our feature in the Bucks Herald.
Mural Wall hits the headlines
Year 5 have had the fantastic opportunity of collaborating with local award-winning Artist, Teakster, for their final outcome. After designing stencil templates for the mural, four were selected to be professionally cut and used for the wall project.
Teakster came into school and worked with children throughout the week to complete the mural on one of our outside walls. It features intricate geometric patterns and colours chosen by the children to represent our school. Throughout the project, the children have learnt about symbolism in Islamic art and what different geometric shapes represent and they have applied this learning to this finished outcome.
Award Winners | Aylesbury in Bloom
Elmhurst received Silver Award and Special Newcomer Award Aylesbury in Bloom Garden Competition by Aylesbury Town Council.
The Aylesbury mayor came to our school and awarded us with a silver award for Aylesbury in Bloom.
"They showed good use of containers and were complimented on their use of colours by judges who are looking forward to their progression in next year’s competition. The rainbow-themed display was well received. Well done to Ms Sond and all the children involved."

We staged a protest!
Over the past seven weeks, Year 2 pupils at Elmhurst Primary School have been learning about significant people from the past and how they have helped to shape and improve the world today.
As part of the project, the pupils have been urged to think about what they can do to have an impact.
So the youngsters decided to organise a Protest March into Friars Square
