The Little Wandle zoom session was excellent - it was incredibly informative and helpful!  Natalie talked through how she implemented the scheme at Elmhurst and really kindly shared the brilliant resources her and her team have created.  It was brilliant to have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the meeting and Natalie was very well informed to answer.  Natalie's guidance and expertise has been valuable and I now feel confident in my next steps to implementing the scheme and developing an action plan.  Thank you so much!

We're really pleased to be using Little Wandle Letters and Sounds for our Phonics teaching; as part of our introduction to Little Wandle, I was invited to see it in action, courtesy of the Reception class at Elmhurst.

The teaching was effective and quick - I was impressed by how well the staff were tracking the children and ensuring everyone was making good progress.  It was a lively and positive session that the children responded well to.  The progress from session to session was clear and the children were able to articulate their Phonics journey.  

It was clear that the children will make accelerated progress using Little Wandle, thanks to the thorough planning, clear and child friendly resources and the outstanding quality first teaching.  All resources were prepared in advance to maximise teaching time - not a minute was wasted to ensure good pace and no loss in the pupils' concentration.  

Huge thanks to the Reception staff for allowing me to observe; I am excited to see the staff at my school deliver such amazing sessions.

It was great to see the structure of the Little Wandle session.  I was blown away by the content included in such a short space of time and the children's attention span for this period.  It gave me some really good ideas about how to structure the sessions at Bedgrove.  

Yet again I reiterate what a great start the children are having at Elmhurst.  Can I also pass on how amazing your LSAs are in Early Years - they had a real impact on the children in the Phonics session.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for letting us come into Elmhurst School to see Little Wandle being taught in Reception yesterday.  The lessons were really engaging and all of the staff clearly knew what they were doing to support the children to achieve the learning.  

The displays were really clear and consistent too which has given us food for thought for when we produce our own.

The question and answer session with Natalie afterwards also really helped us iron out some of the queries we had of the programme - Natalie clearly knows her stuff!   

It was all incredibly useful in helping us to make a decision about whether or not to go for Little Wandle.  In fact, we were so impressed with how it was being taught, the pupil engagement and the information that you gave us that we were able to make a clear decision as soon as we got back to school and have chosen Little Wandle as our SSP.  

Thank you very much for your time yesterday, both my colleague and I very much appreciated it.  It was great to see Little Wandle taught and the progress the children must have made to get to this point for the end of reception.  It is really motivating to see how effective the program is when taught so well.
